Go Sparks!

As Angelinos, we should support the Sparks — the women’s professional  basketball team in Los Angeles.

The Sparks are the only women’s professional athletic team in Los Angeles and people can afford to watch the games at Staples Center with their families. Since the Sparks are the only women’s professional athletic team in Los Angeles, we should support and get interested in their games. In Los Angeles, there are many men’s professional teams, such as the Lakers, Clippers, Kings, Dodgers, and Angels. The Los Angeles Times currently only has sports sections for men’s professional teams on their Internet site despite the Sparks being two time WNBA champions.

People can afford to buy tickets for Sparks game while tickets for men’s are more expensive. For example, some Sparks seats are $14.00, but Lakers seats in the same section are over $55.00. It is not expensive to go to Staples Center with the family to enjoy the Sparks games together.

Many people think women’s basketball is boring, but have never been to a game. When people go to Staple Center to watch their games, the Sparks players play hard and game is so dynamic. Also they have a variety of entertainment with for spectators during time outs and half-time.

As the only women’s professional athletic team in Los Angeles, we should support the Sparks and should watch their games on TV.

CATS

Lucky, I am thankful for your great heart
when I am sad
Modo, I am grateful for your might
when I am afraid
Kissy, I am thankful for your happiness
when I am bored
Mama, I am grateful for your generousness
when I am selfish
Rachel, I am thankful for your cautiousness
when I am in a hurry
Baby, I am grateful for your independence
when I am lonely
Cookie, I am thankful for your patience
when I am feeling rushed
I am grateful to live with cats even though I am allergic to them

FISH

Red fish, Blue fish swim in the greenish jars peacefully
Whenever I open the lid of the jar, they jump up to catch food
Whenever cats come to them, they pretend to sleep
Whenever they see each other, they kiss through the glass
Red fish, Blue fish swim in the greenish jars tranquilly
